It’s great to meet you! I’m Shahena and I’m a Periscoper and YouTuber. I film videos on Periscope and Youtube and blog about Healthy Cooking, Natural Health and Beauty, Fitness as well as Travel and Fashion.

 

I’m an ex-medic and a professional Naturopath and Naturopathic Nutritionist, with a background in the beauty industry.

 

I love to travel around the world and pick up natural health, food and beauty tips, and I’ll be bringing you all the latest in natural health, cooking and beauty through my Blog, Periscope and Youtube Vlogs!

Having developed a beauty brand in the past and whilst also beginning to study for a degree in Medicine, I became intrigued by Naturopathy. This saw me make a move towards Natural Medicine and Naturopathic Nutrition, and I haven’t looked back! I have a background in food, beauty, medicine and nutrition, having featured as a TV cook on national TV (BBC UKTV Food, Great Food Channel) and radio (BBC), and also having been restaurant trained in cookery.

 

I’m also a BBC Expert Voice on Medicinal Food and Cookery and I blog, write and film about various subjects, mainly Nutrition, Cooking, Travel, Lifestyle and Beauty; bringing you the latest in the Food and Natural Beauty world. My video’s are full of surprises and ideas that will keep you intrigued and entertained so I really hope you come along and join me. As a blogger for The Huffington Post and as a health, food and beauty writer, featuring in the national and international press (Time Out Dubai, The Daily Mail, Metro, SHE, Cosmopolitan, Evening Standard), I later became an Ambassador for The Department of Health’s (NHS) ‘Change4Life’ Campaign in the United Kingdom. 

 

As a former medic with a background in nutrition I’ll give you no-nonsense, expert advice about natural health and beauty as well as helping you discover more about ‘medicinal foods’.

 

Taking the mystery out of natural health, beauty and healthy food and cookery, I’ll give you a ‘no-fuss’ approach and a modern-girl’s perspective, on how to use food ingredients for health benefits, and as a way to look your best, without having to use pills and potions.
